Marvin Williams scored 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting with 11 rebounds, one steal, one block and two treys in Wednesday’s win over the Wizards.
“He was all over the place,” coach Steve Clifford said. “He was phenomenal.” Williams has been a top 45-65 player this season and he’s bound to slow down, not to mention the fact that he has a history of falling off. But it’s worth noting that there was a noticeable change in his physique and fitness level that was apparent from opening night. A top-100 season seems like a solid bet.
