After some recent dips in production, both Mason Plumlee (16 points, 14 rebounds, three steals in 31 minutes) and Trey Lyles (11 points, five rebounds, one block, one 3-pointer in 25 minutes) got back on track in Wednesday’s road loss.
Lyles had scored three points in his previous two games with 35 combined minutes so this was an encouraging step forward, if not a big one. He’s probably going to fall off the standard league radar in due time but should be held for a few more games to see if he can crank his production back up before the All-Star break. Plumlee had a field day in his return to the starting five and dropped season-highs in both points and rebounds, so he should be snapped back up if he hit the wire in leagues with 14 teams or more.
