Michael Carter-Williams played 31 minutes in a win against the Hornets on Monday, finishing with 10 points (4-of-12 from the field, 2-of-2 at the line), nine boards, three assists, one block and one turnover.
What’s ironic about the Rajon Rondo situation is that in terms of fantasy, MCW is very similar to him except he doesn’t get nearly as many assists. He’s been known to be a turnover machine that can’t hit free throws and can’t really hit shots from downtown. Because of all these issues, he doesn’t have the best upside in fantasy, but he was in the top-120 last year with the Bucks. He’s worth a look to see what he can do this year if you have some garbage waiting to be dropped at the end of your bench. He may end up in a position battle with Jerian Grant so nothing is certain yet for MCW.
