According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets have traded Michael Carter-Williams and cash to the Bulls for a heavily protected second-round pick.
The move creates an open roster spot for the Rockets and helps take money off of the books for the luxury tax. MarShon Brooks was waived in order to make room for MCW. Carter-Williams is likely to be waived before the 5 P.M. deadline at which point his contract would become fully guaranteed.
