Fantasy News

  • Deandre Ayton - Team - Phoenix Suns

Deandre Ayton delivered a huge line in Monday's 101-116 loss to the Bulls with 25 points on 12-of-17 shooting while adding 12 rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks.

Ayton was one of the few bright spots for the Suns, dominating on both ends of the floor. Even though he's not talked about as much as the other rookies in his class, he's more than held his own and has improved on the defensive end of the floor much faster than many expected. Ayton was already working with a high fantasy floor because of his offensive prowess and if he can consistently bring it on defense, we're looking at a potential early-round play.

  • Devin Booker - G - Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker scored 25 points on 9-of-24 shooting while adding eight rebounds, seven assists and a 3-pointer on Monday.

Booker went 1-for-8 from deep and 6-for-10 at the line which crushed his shooting line tonight, but he was still able to fill it up with popcorn numbers. He's one of the biggest gunners in the league so you're going to get some messy shooting lines here and there, but he's been a top-40 play in the past two weeks with averages of 31.7 points, 2.3 3s, 5.3 boards, 7.6 assists and 0.9 steals on .465 shooting. He has two more games this week to get back on track.

  • Josh Jackson - F - Phoenix Suns

Josh Jackson scored 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting to go with seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on Monday.

Jackson was able to deliver the counting stats tonight and actually hit his shots at a respectable rate, but he had extra room to operate with Kelly Oubre Jr. (thumb sprain) and Tyler Johnson (sore right knee) out. He's in play as as streamer if those two continue to sit games.

  • Mikal Bridges - F - Phoenix Suns

Mikal Bridges started on Monday and scored 12 points on 4-of-8 shooting to go with a 3-pointer and three rebounds.

Bridges drew the start for Kelly Oubre Jr. (thumb sprain) and logged a team-high 42 minutes but was unable to record a steal. Considering how many minutes he played it's surprising to see zeroes on defense, but the minutes are a welcome sight.

  • De'Anthony Melton - G - Phoenix Suns

De'Anthony Melton started on Monday and scored zero points on 0-of-2 shooting to go with two rebounds, four assists and a steal.

Melton drew the start for Tyler Johnson (sore right knee) but had most of the minutes go to Jamal Crawford because the Suns couldn't get anything going offensively. He's got the talent to deliver fantasy value, but the situation just isn't ripe for him this season.

  • Lauri Markkanen - F - Chicago Bulls

Lauri Markkanen scored 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting to go with nine rebounds, two assists, a 3-pointer and two blocks on Monday.

Markkanen finally broke through his slump tonight and it was only a matter of time before it happened. The 1-for-4 mark from deep is still a bit low, but he went 6-for-11 from 2-point range and focused more on getting buckets closer to the basket to establish a rhythm. He'll look to carry his momentum on Wednesday against the Wizards.

  • Zach LaVine - G - Chicago Bulls

Zach LaVine scored 17 points with eight rebounds, seven assists, a steal and two 3-pointers against the Suns on Monday.

He went 5-for-10 from the floor and hit all five of his free throws tonight. LaVine delivered a full line tonight and took a backseat to his two big men. The game flow was what dictated the low shot attempts as LaVine is still a nightly threat to pop off for 30+ points. Although he committed seven turnovers, it's good to see him able to produce strong value while toning back his usage.

  • Robin Lopez - C - Chicago Bulls

Robin Lopez led the Bulls in scoring on Monday with 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting while adding seven rebounds, two assists and a block.

Lopez absolutely crushed whenever Deandre Ayton was off the floor and he's been solid for the Bulls as we close out the year. He shouldn't be on any waiver wires as a top-70 value over the last month with averages of 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks on .590 shooting.

  • Kris Dunn - G - Chicago Bulls

Kris Dunn scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting while chipping in two rebounds, three assists, two steals, a block and a 3-pointer on Monday.

Dunn's going to get high usage on a bad team and with Otto Porter (rotator cuff) sidelined, we're looking at some extra value here. The efficiency won't always be this pretty, but the defensive numbers are what draw us to Dunn.

  • Shaq Harrison - PG - Chicago Bulls

Shaq Harrison scored six points on 3-of-9 shooting while adding three rebounds, an assist and four steals on Monday.

Harrison started in place of Otto Porter (rotator cuff) who may be looking at a few more games on the sidelines. If he's starting, he makes for a great streamer if you need steals.
