Michael Porter Jr. told ESPN that he's feeling pain free after undergoing a second back surgery in July.
Porter is also hoping to be ready for the start of the season, which would be a pretty big surprise after some teams were reportedly concerned that he might need to sit out the entire year with his back problems. The second surgery allowed doctors to fix a second bulging disk after a procedure back in November fixed only one. While MPJ may be feeling good and ready to go, the Nuggets will definitely be taking things slow here. He has top-of-the-lottery talent but slid because of his health concerns, so it has the potential to be a steal for the Nuggets. As such, don't expect them to rush anything.
