Though Mike Conley didn't participate in 5-on-5 work at this week's Team USA minicamp, he says he expects to be ready for training camp.
"I'm doing really well. I wish I could've participated in contact stuff. I think I could, but we're being cautious and allowing me to get a full summer of rehab. I should be ready to go by training camp — I expect to be ready." Conley hasn't been cleared for 5-on-5 work yet but has been doing some halfcourt stuff after an Achilles problem kept him to just 12 games in Memphis' nightmare season. While they were among the league's worst last year, a healthy Conley plus the additions of Jaren Jackson Jr. and Kyle Anderson could vault them right back into the back end of the playoff picture out West. There's a ton of injury risk here that will scare fantasy players off but Conley is a top-40 guy when he's on. He'll be one of the more interesting names to track during draft season.
