After a very short stint in the concussion protocol, it was announced that Mike Scott will play in Game 1 on Saturday.
That was fast. Although he's had only two days off since suffering the concussion, there is no set time-frame to complete the protocol and every case is different. Scott has been a key role player for the Wizards this year and appeared in 76 games after spending most of last season either on the sidelines with a knee issue or in the G-League. He has been impressive on the offensive end with 8.8 points in only 18.5 minutes this year on a career-high 52.7 percent shooting. His role would likely increase if Porter has to sit out.
