Mitchell Robinson ended his impeccable rookie campaign in Wednesday's loss to the Pistons, finishing with 11 points (5-of-6 shooting), two rebounds and no blocks in 23 minutes.
Robinson took the fantasy world by storm this year, becoming the first rookie in NBA history to average over 2.4 blocks and shoot at least 60% from the field. It's hard to understate just how critical he was in determining fantasy leagues this season, putting up first round value over his final two months, which is unheard of for a guy, who for many, was a mid-season pickup. Like every Knicks player on the roster, his role next season is complicated by the looming potential of a roster overhaul through free agency or the draft. One thing, however, is clear when it comes to Robinson. He only needs 20 minutes to do the things he was capable of this year, and regardless of what the Knicks do this offseason, he will likely be an early round pick in next year's draft.
