Mohamed Bamba set the NBA draft combine record for wingspan measuring in at seven feet, 10 inches on Thursday.
That is massive, for context Rudy Gobert had the previous record at seven feet, eight inches. Bamba also measured at just over seven feet tall. A combination of athleticism, defensive prowess, and some ability to step outside at shoot is what is landing Bamba in the top-10 of all current mock drafts and going as high as top-5. He averaged 3.7 blocks, 1.7 three pointers, 10.5 rebounds and 12.9 points per game as a freshman for Texas. Bamba's skillset points to a multi-category contributor in fantasy that could have impact right away, but, as with all rookies, it will depend on where he falls and how much playing time he receives.
