April 19, 2019, 1:28 amMontrezl HarrellF/C, Los Angeles Clippers
Montrezl Harrell scored 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting with four rebounds and two assists in Thursday's Game 3 against the Warriors.
Harrell was able to score, but he couldn't keep up in the pick-and-roll with Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. It's a tall task for anyone and tonight it led to a bunch of layups for Andrew Bogut and Kevon Looney as Harrell isn't a bad defender, but he's nowhere near the level you need to be to guard the Warriors.
October 14, 2019, 10:31 pmJA MorantPG, Memphis Grizzlies
Ja Morant scored 15 points on 4-of-13 shooting with six assists and a rebound against the Hornets on Monday.
Morant has a lot of hype coming into this season as an explosive guard, but rookie point guards tend to struggle in fantasy. The position has the highest learning curve and even though the Grizzlies aren't devoid of talent, it'll still take a while for Morant to get his feet under him. He's not going to score efficiently, but he should still put up solid numbers as the season winds on.
October 14, 2019, 10:29 pmJae CrowderPF, Memphis Grizzlies
Jae Crowder scored 12 points on 4-of-12 shootingwith three 3-pointers, four rebounds, an assist and a steal on Monday.
Crowder is locked in a three-way battle with Grayson Allen (eight points, three rebounds and two assists) and Dillon Brooks (11 points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal and three 3-pointers). He looked solid out there and has the highest pedigree of the three wings which means he should have an advantage at earning the minutes, but it's still more of a situation to monitor first.
October 14, 2019, 10:27 pmTerry RozierPG, Charlotte Hornets
Terry Rozier dropped 24 points with seven boards, eight assists, two steals and four 3-pointers against the Grizzlies on Monday.
Rozier went 9-for-15 from the floor and is the prized player Charlotte signed after losing Kemba Walker to the Celtics in free agency. He's not going to shoot this well during the season, but the volume of his stats will be there and is worth drafting in the middle rounds for owners who can stomach the percentages.
October 14, 2019, 10:24 pmDe'Andre HunterSF, Atlanta Hawks
De'Andre Hunter and his fellow Hawks rookies failed to make much of an impact vs. the Heat on Monday as Hunter went for four points (2-for-8 FGs, 0-for-2 FTs), one rebound and four assists in 25 minutes.
Hunter had some nice passes, but the stats were lacking tonight. Cam Reddish chipped in just two points (1-for-7 FGs), two rebounds, one assists, one steal and three turnovers in 20 minutes. Bruno Fernando added two points, a rebound and a block in his 12 minutes off the bench. It's a healthy reminder that it could very well take some time before these first-year players are ready to contribute much.
October 14, 2019, 10:24 pmMiles BridgesSF, Charlotte Hornets
Miles Bridges scored eight points on 4-of-9 shooting to go with four rebounds, an assist and two blocks in Monday's preseason win over the Grizzlies.
The Hornets have minimal talent and Bridges is one of the young and promising prospects on this roster. He's athletic enough to deliver defensive stats and the job is his to lose.
October 14, 2019, 10:22 pmDwayne BaconSF, Charlotte Hornets
Dwayne Bacon led the Hornets in scoring on Monday with 21 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go with three rebounds, five assists and three 3-pointers.
Nicolas Batum (sore right Achilles) sat this one out as well and Bacon should have ample opportunity to put up counting stats. The efficiency won't be this nice and Malik Monk (18 minutes, 10 points, two triples, two rebounds, an assist, two steals and two blocks) will also have a crack at guard minutes.
October 14, 2019, 10:15 pmDeAndre' BembrySF, Atlanta Hawks
DeAndre' Bembry was efficient off the bench on Monday, hitting 5-of-7 field goals and 2-of-3 free throws en route to 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and one triple in 25 minutes.
Kevin Huerter missed this game, allowing for more Bembry minutes. And while Bembry had a nice game, his value usually comes from steals and occasionally blocks. He's got potential, but the Hawks likely added too many wings during the offseason for Bembry to get enough action to help in fantasy.
October 14, 2019, 10:09 pmVince CarterSG, Atlanta Hawks
Vince Carter scored 10 points (3-for-FGs, 2-for-2 FTs) with two treys, two boards and a steal in 18 minutes in a loss to the Heat on Monday.
Carter's still got it. While he won't likely help a fantasy team this season, it's going to be a feel-good year for the 42-year-old Vinsanity.
October 14, 2019, 10:04 pmSeth CurrySG, Dallas Mavericks
Seth Curry won't return to Monday's game against the Thunder due to a knee contusion.
Curry hit a three, had a rebound, an assist and a steal in the nine minutes in which he played. The Mavs are relatively deep at guard, so Curry may need another player to miss time in order for him to matter in standard leagues this season.

October 14, 2019, 9:56 pmJoe InglesSF, Utah Jazz
Joe Ingles is likely to remain in the sixth-man role into the regular season and says he's excited about the challenge.
Ingles mentions that he's not bothered by the change. He should continue to get approximately the same amount of minutes and possibly more usage as he helps run both the first and second unit. Take this opportunity to buy low on him.
