Myles Turner produced six points, two assists, five boards, one steal, three blocks o 3-of-10 from the field and 0-of-1 from deep in Monday’s loss to the Cavs.
Turner struggled against the length of Tristan Thompson. Not only did he shoot poorly, but the big man only grabbed five boards despite playing 37 minutes. The second-year pro did much better on defense, keeping Thompson to just four points while swatting three shots. If the Pacers are to have a chance to make some noise in this series they need a better offensive game out of their future star center. It will be interesting to see if “Big Al” Jefferson gets some playing time at center in the next game to try and get a bit more scoring out of the five position.
