• Nerlens Noel and Dirk Nowitzki were both held in check by the Clippers on Wednesday, playing just a combined 50 minutes.

Nowitzki struggled with his shot early and had his minutes managed as he nurses from a sore right achilles.  He finished with nine points on 4-of-11 from the field, adding four boards, one assist and one steal.  Dirk’s been a solid mid round asset on a per games basis, but his injuries and maintenance days have made him frustrating to own.  Meanwhile, Noel took just four shots to finish with six points, four boards, one assist and one block in 22 minutes.  He picked up a couple of early fouls against DeAndre Jordan, which limited his time on the floor.  Surprisingly, Noel has managed to cobble together sixth round value despite being marooned in Philadelphia for the first half of the season.  His future with the Mavs remains bright.
