The Pelicans got smoked by the Grizzlies in their final preseason game as Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins each shot 2-of-5 from the floor to combine for 16 points.
It wasn’t a full night of work for any of the Pellies’ starters, but Cousins was a minus-15 in 19 minutes on the floor while Davis was somehow worse at minus-18 in 14 minutes. Boogie finished with nine points, three rebounds, two assists and three blocks and should be a solid second-round selection in fantasy drafts, this poor night notwithstanding. The most troubling aspect for him was that two of his five shots came from behind the arc, and he’ll always be handicapping himself by working away from the cup. Davis finished with seven points, three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer. The Brow is a top-5 fantasy pick and could easily finish first overall if he stays healthy.
