Nikola Jokic has been off so far this season and has recently asked to return to the Nuggets bench. He played 26 minutes for Denver in their loss to the Portland Trail Blazers, but missed all three of his shot attempts from the field and ended the night with five boards and three assists.
For obvious reasons, it would be to sit Jokic while he’s going through this slump. His problems appear to be mental and is a hurdle he will have to get over as he slogs through his sophomore NBA campaign. While it will be tough to hang on to a player who looks more like a liability than an asset at this point, Jokic has the talent and skill set to return to his former Top-50 fantasy form from 2015-16. At the very least, Nikola’s history has earned him enough brownie points to merit him some patience. He’s a hold for now.
