Nikola Jokic was held to two points, five rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block in 15 minutes on Friday against the Nets.
Between foul trouble and his four turnovers it wasn’t his night and it’s worth noting that both wings in Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler have come out gunning after the break. That won’t last long. Mason Plumlee was there to seriously mop up and finished with 12 points, 12 boards and eight assists in 23 minutes. This is an outlier game but it shows why Plumlee needs to be held in standard leagues until it’s clear he won’t have value. The system is much too friendly for him to be bearish about it.
