Nikola Vucevic cobbled together a 14-10 double-double in 27 minutes in Monday’s road loss, adding two dimes, a triple and a block with 6-of-14 shooting.
Vucevic outperformed the highly paid Bismack Biyombo and outlasted Serge Ibaka to come out on top in the Orlando frontcourt. He’ll finish as a top-50 asset in all formats and there’s no reason to think he can’t repeat next season. Considering he made 20 threes (and counting) this year after hitting just seven in his first five seasons, he might even have some room for improvement. Of course, he’s shooting just .278 from deep and has dropped from .510 overall to .468, so maybe that’s more trouble than it’s worth. Either he’ll improve his deep shooting or keep it inside the arc, and either will help him out a bit.
