• TSN’s Josh Lewenberg speculates that the Raptors could be leaning towards starting Norman Powell at small forward because they like the fit of C.J. Miles on the second unit.

Miles had been the favorite for all of camp but it looks like the Raptors could change their minds right at the last moment. Powell doesn’t provide the same floor spacing but is far more athletic and could be used to give Toronto’s other players a break on the defensive end of the floor. He’s looking at minutes in the mid-high twenties and should be able to crack the top-150 now that he has ample opportunity in front of him. Miles will also get his share of minutes leading a young second unit and should remain an effective 3-point specialist for owners in need of deep shooting.
