Otto Porter dropped hit his first seven shots and scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half as the Wizards rolled right through the Celtics on Thursday.
Porter found himself matched up with Isaiah Thomas and this time he got the edict to post up rather than hang out around the three point line. Involving Thomas on the defensive end is always the way to go, and Porter got a series of comically easy buckets by backing IT down to the paint in one or two dribbles. It was like taking candy from a baby for OP, and the C’s will now need to adjust their defensive coverage. While Porter didn’t hit a three, he shot 8-of-13 from the floor and added eight boards, two assists and three steals. A solid 38 minutes of work for the small forward, who is a contender for Most Improved Player.
