• PJ Tucker
    F, Houston Rockets

P.J. Tucker played in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals after having three root canals.

Apparently Tucker did not tell any of his teammates about the root canals. The veteran was solid in Game 7 playing 45 minutes and producing 14 points, 12 boards, four steals and two treys. The 33-year-old is the epitome of toughness and heart so this story is not very surprising. Despite being just 6'5", he was a monster on the boards averaging over nine per game in the Western Conference Finals and his defense plus floor spacing (2.2 threes per game) were critical to the Rockets' success. If it wasn't for Chris Paul's injured hamstring it could very well have been Tucker playing in his first NBA Finals on Thursday.
