The Blazers have decided not to extend a qualifying offer to Pat Connaughton, making him an unrestricted free agent.
After not having much of a role in his first two seasons with the Blazers, Connaughton grew into an every day player in his third. He appeared in all 82 games, averaging 5.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.9 triples in 18.1 minutes. His qualifying offer would have counted against the Blazers' cap for $1.8 million until he signed or reached an agreement elsewhere. The fourth year wing out of Notre Dame will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1 but should not have a fantasy impact regardless of where he lands.
