Patty Mills scored 24 points on 8-of-15 shooting (including five threes) with one rebound and no other noteworthy stats in Australia’s 90-64 win over Lithuania in the knockout round on Wednesday.
Australia made it look easy over a solid Lithuania squad. As a group they fit with one another and they’re hitting on all cylinders whether it’s the coaching or the execution. Damian Martin had four steals, Andrew Bogut had six points, seven boards and six assists, and Matthew Dellavedova scored 15 points with three assists and a steal in the win. Domantas Sabonis got the ‘young foreign player in international play’ treatment with just 13 minutes, and Jonas Valanciunas had yet another underwhelming effort with five points, eight boards and a block in the loss.
