Pau Gasol suffered the worst season of his NBA career this year, averaging career-lows with 3.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.5 blocks on .447 from the field in just 12.0 mpg.
Gasol last appeared in a game on March 10, and the left ankle injury that ended his season occurred during a run of DNPs so it’s tough to pinpoint exactly when he got hurt. Gasol also missed 26 games while with the Spurs because of a stress fracture in his left foot. The veteran is nearing the end and might have to settle for “veteran presence” roles should he choose to come back next year.
