Pau Gasol could not get his shot to fall on Wednesday against the Rockets, going just 3-for-11 from the line to finish with six points in Game 2.
He struggled to finish around Clint Capela and simply couldn’t shake off some early game rust when asked to take mid range shots. Offensive woes aside, Gasol did pull down 13 boards while chipping in three assists, one steal and four blocks. His defense, while still shaky in the pick-and-roll, was a noticeable improvement from Game 1. Gasol made smart decisions helping off his man to alter shots at the rim, preventing the parade of dunks and layups San Antonio gifted the Rockets on Monday. The series is now tied at one game apiece as the Spurs head to Houston for Game 3 on Friday.
