Paul Gasol logged 29 minutes in Spain’s 82-76 loss to the U.S. on Friday afternoon.
Gasol was questionable to play leading up to this one, but was given the go-ahead by the Spanish medical staff before tip-off. Playing in what could possibly be his final Olympic games Gasol scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-19 shooting. He added eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block to round out his line. Gasol played well in this tournament and really anchored the Spanish team after an ugly 0-2 start. Spurs fans should be excited to see what he can do alongside LaMarcus Aldridge.
