Paul George finished with 32 points, seven assists, eight boards, one steal on 10-of-20 from the field, 4-of-10 from deep and 8-of-9 from the line in Monday’s 111-117 loss to the Cavs.
The Cavs were up 96-78 going into the fourth quarter before the Pacers made a comeback and got within four points so this game looked closer than it really was. George was part of that comeback and did a little bit of everything on offensive to keep the Pacers in it. He is hot from downtown over the last two games going 10-of-18 and has been making plays for teammates more with 14 assists over that span. The star wing only averaged 3.3 assists during the regular season. George also led the team in rebounds with eight. Game three is on Thursday in Indiana, so look for veteran to continue to be a usage and stat monster.
