The Pelicans are expected to be aggressive at the trade deadline as they try and bounce back in the wake of the Demarcus Cousins (achilles) injury.
The Pels are currently sitting at 27-21, good enough for sixth in the Western Conference and in the midst of a four-game winning streak. With Demarcus Cousins now missing the rest of the season they’ll look to try and compensate for that huge loss by acquiring either a center or a wing player before the trade deadline. Big men like Greg Monroe, Nerlens Noel and Dewayne Dedmon have been rumored to be an interest of the Pelicans while calling up Terrence Jones from the G-League could also be in the cards.
