Jay Triano will assume head coaching responsibilities after the Suns fired Earl Watson.
The Suns will play Monday night against the Kings and it will be interesting to see if Mike James continues to check in before Tyler Ulis. This is a situation to monitor closely as rotations may change.

Frank Ntilikina - G - New York Knicks
Frank Ntilikina (groin) is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Friday.
It sounds like Ntilikina will not suit up on Friday. He'll be fighting with Emmanuel Mudiay for backup point guard minutes when he does get back on the floor, and while he might be able to get an edge there with Mudiay headed for free agency there isn't enough to warrant attention in fantasy leagues.

Aron Baynes - F/C - Boston Celtics
Aron Baynes (left foot contusion) will not play on the Celtics' upcoming road trip, which means he'll miss at least three more games.
Danny Ainge said that Baynes may not return until early March, so this isn't too surprising. Daniel Theis gets at least three more games of fantasy appeal.

Gordon Hayward - F - Boston Celtics
Gordon Hayward (right ankle sprain) is day-to-day and listed as questionable to face the Bucks on Thursday.
Hayward was unable to practice on Wednesday after hurting himself in a 1-on-1 game with Semi Ojeleye over the break. He's been a late-round player this season but does have upside for the second half, so he's someone that fantasy owners should be holding onto. If he can't play tomorrow we'll see his minutes divvied up amongst the usual suspects in Boston's forward rotation.

Derrick Jones Jr. - F/G - Miami Heat
Derrick Jones Jr. (right knee bone bruises) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Sixers.
Jones will be available but may not play. He was initially expected to miss at least six weeks but is in the middle of his third week since sustaining the injury, so it looks like he'll be back well ahead of schedule. His stat set is great but there probably isn't enough playing time here to make Jones worthwhile outside of deep leagues.

Goran Dragic - G - Miami Heat
Goran Dragic (right knee surgery) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Sixers.
Dragic has already been ruled available, but coach Spoelstra did add that he might need some more work before he actually returns to game action. Expect The Dragon to come off the bench and play under a minutes restriction at first, so he's not a must-add player in standard formats. Justise Winslow's run might be coming to an end, though he's worth holding onto while we see how this all plays out.

Tristan Thompson - F/C - Cleveland Cavaliers
Tristan Thompson (left foot soreness) will not play on Thursday.
Thompson will miss his 14th straight game but was able to practice on Wednesday, so a return shouldn't be too far off. There are questions about how much TT will play for the rebuilding Cavs so while he'll be worth picking up and using once he returns to the court, it wouldn't be surprising if Thompson doesn't have enough juice to make it work in 12-team leagues.

Nikola Mirotic - F - Milwaukee Bucks
Nikola Mirotic (right calf strain) is officially probable for Thursday's game against the Celtics.
Mirotic was able to practice on Wednesday and said that he's planning on playing, so look for him to make his Bucks debut tomorrow. He'll be coming off the bench but should have no problem playing 25 mpg at minimum, so middle-round numbers are well within reach. It's not going to be the early-season run that had Mirotic looking like a draft steal but he'll remain a productive fantasy player.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - F - Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo (right knee soreness) is listed as probable ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Celtics.
Antetokounmpo dropped 38 points in the All-Star game so we're fully expecting him to suit up for a marquee matchup. The Bucks have ruled out players who were listed as probable a few times this season, but they generally save that move for easier opponents.

Zhaire Smith - G - Philadelphia Sixers
Zhaire Smith (foot surgery, thoracoscopy) was able to go "about 60 percent" in Wednesday's practice with the Sixers.
The last update on Smith was him heading to the G-League for some non-contact practices, so this is another nice step in his recovery. The Sixers are very thin on the wings and just lost Furkan Korkmaz indefinitely because of a torn meniscus, so while it's highly unlikely that Smith sees meaningful minutes it does look like he'll be able to return by the end of the season. His appeal is limited to the deepest of redraft leagues and dynasty formats.

Rodions Kurucs - F - Brooklyn Nets
Rodions Kurucs is not on the injury report and will play in Thursday's game against the Blazers.
Kurucs missed the last game before the break with a left elbow sprain but did manage to log 16 minutes in Friday's Rising Stars Challenge, so he should be considered fully healthy now. The rookie is fine for deep-league use.
