PJ Washington was effective in his start against the Pistons on Wednesday's loss, posting 12 points to go with five rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes.
Washington was recently reported to be a leading candidate to land in the starting lineup for opening night, and this performance undoubtably adds to the case to put him there. If he is to start on opening night, it is unclear if he would still hold onto it whenever Nicolas Batum (sore Achillies) returns. The rookie boasts intriguing upside as a 3-and-D player who could be worth a flier at the end of drafts in deep-leagues.
