Rajon Rondo drew the start in Thursday's 111-114 loss to the Nets in China, producing 18 points, five rebounds, six assists and two 3-pointers on 7-of-13 from the field.
Rondo was quite active in his 24 minutes on the floor, and it looks like the Lakers will let this competition run throughout the preseason — or at least until Kyle Kuzma is healthy enough to regain his starting spot. Bradley scored five points with two steals in 20 minutes off the pine, and neither player makes for an appealing target in standard leagues. At least Rondo holds some value as an assists specialist. Alex Caruso got 22 minutes off the bench and delivered 11 points, eight assists, three steals, a block and three 3-pointers. It feels like he could be on the outside looking in when the season begins but in a true meritocracy he'd be playing ahead of Rondo.
