The Raptors dug deep into their rotation in Tuesday’s win, allowing Lucas Nogueira to log 17 minutes and pick up four points, four rebounds and two blocks.
The Raptors were listless for much of the game but clamped down big time in the fourth and wound up taking home a fairly stress-free win despite trailing for most of the night. Bebe was a big part of that, as his rim protection, energy and passing skills helped up the tempo and snap the Raptors out of their funk — he was a plus-16 in his time on the court. If he got this type of workload regularly he’d be an elite producer of defensive stats but he’ll probably fall out of the rotation tomorrow. He’s just a luxury piece for Toronto, unfortunately, though he was the best center tonight. Jonas Valanciunas finished with nine points, eight boards, a steal and a block in 19 minutes while Jakob Poeltl was quiet with four points in 11 minutes.
