November 19, 2018, 10:07 pmReggie JacksonG, Detroit Pistons
Reggie Jackson had his finest shooting game of the season by hitting 5-of-8 shots on Monday against the Cavs to finish with 13 points, three triples, three boards, four assists and two steals.
This was Jackson's first game shooting over 50 percent this season, a testament to how bad his shot selection has been. Jackson should be able to shoot around 43 percent but he's been at 38 percent thus far this season. As Jackson gets more comfortable with his new coach we might actually start to look at him as a top-120 option but for now consider him an option around the top-150 in 8-cat.
July 8, 2020, 5:20 pmIsaiah RobyPF, Oklahoma City Thunder
Isaiah Roby will sit out the restart of the NBA season in Orlando after having a minor procedure on his right plantar fascia.
Roby played 11 minutes total across three games for the Thunder so far this season. This news doesn't impact the fantasy or reality landscape of the resumption season.

July 8, 2020, 5:12 pmKevin LovePF, Cleveland Cavaliers
After only playing in 22 out of 82 contests in 2018-19, Kevin Love was able to suit up for 56 out of 65 games this season and produced 49/58 per-game value in 8/9-cat leagues.
For the first time since the 2015-16 season, Love's total fantasy value exceeded his per-game value due to several injuries he had incurred over the last four years. He posted 17.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 0.6 steals, 2.6 threes and 2.5 turnovers in 31.8 mpg with .450/.374/.854 splits. Love can continue to produce standard league value moving forward with the caveat that he has a tendency to miss more than the 13.8 percent of games that he missed in 2019-20.
July 8, 2020, 5:00 pmMatthew DellavedovaPG, Cleveland Cavaliers
In his first complete season with the Cavs since winning a championship for them in 2015-16, Matthew Dellavedova saw 14.4 mpg across 57 games including four starts.
Delly was outside the top-350 in per-game value for 8/9-cat leagues. The tenacious defender struggled mightily with his efficiency with .354/.231/.865 splits and can be left off fantasy radars heading into the 2020-21 campaign. It is even possible that he doesn't find a way back onto an NBA roster next season as he is now an unrestricted free agent.
July 8, 2020, 4:50 pmTristan ThompsonC, Cleveland Cavaliers
Tristan Thompson was able to hang on to 134/158 per-game value in 8/9-cat leagues after a strong start to the year and finished the season averaging 12.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.6 steals, 0.9 blocks and 1.8 turnovers while shooting .512 from the field and .615 from the charity stripe in 30.2 mpg.
Thompson was a great player to select at the ends of drafts as he was able to produce top-95 value in 8/9-cat leagues in the first 19 games of the season. He is an unrestricted free agent and it would be surprising to see the Cavs bring him back as they already have Kevin Love, Larry Nance and Andre Drummond ($28.75 player option) signed in the frontcourt.
July 8, 2020, 4:36 pmDarius GarlandPG, Cleveland Cavaliers
As with most rookies, Darius Garland struggled in his first season in the NBA as he posted 202/280 per-game value in 8/9-cat leagues while playing in 59 out of the team's 65 contests.
Garland was given the keys to the offense early and often but struggled with the role as he shot a disappointing .401 from the field and only averaged 3.9 assists with 2.6 turnovers in 30.9 minutes. In addition, he averaged 12.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.8 threes. Garland did see some improvement later in the year which can be illustrated by the increase in the following categories: field goal percentage (+.029), assists (+1.2) and turnovers (-0.5). Garland remains an intriguing young guard whose ceiling is yet to be determined. The Cavs will have to decide if Collin Sexton and Garland can co-exist together in the backcourt moving forward or if the team needs to move one of their young guards for help elsewhere on the roster.
July 8, 2020, 4:06 pmCedi OsmanSF, Cleveland Cavaliers
Despite averaging 32.2 and 29.4 mpg in 2018-19 and 2019-20, Osman has failed to provide per-game value inside the top-160 in any format over the last two seasons with per-game values of 180/191 in 8/9-cat leagues this year.
Osman has had ample opportunity to enter the standard league radar over the last two seasons. However, it appears that his stat-set is not friendly to fantasy GMs. He posted 11.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 steals, 1.9 threes and 1.4 turnovers on .437/.383/.670 splits. It is worth noting that Osman played in all 65 games for the Cavs this season but even his total value fell outside the top-135. Osman should be left on waiver wires in standard leagues next season.
July 8, 2020, 3:53 pmCollin SextonPG, Cleveland Cavaliers
Collin Sexton entered standard league relevance (83/107 per-game value in 8/9-cat leagues) in 2019-20, averaging 20.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.5 threes and 2.4 turnovers in 33.0 minutes.
Sexton was able to enter the standard league conversation this season due to improvements in scoring (+4.1) and steals (+0.5) but his biggest improvement came with his improved efficiency as he raised his field goal percentage from .430 to .472. It remains unclear if the team plans to keep Sexton and Darius Garland in the backcourt long-term or if they plan to move one of their young guards for help on the wing.
July 8, 2020, 3:12 pmDenzel ValentineSF, Chicago Bulls
Denzel Valentine managed top-300 value in 8-category leagues over the course of the season while battling injuries and low usage.
After playing 27.2 minutes per game in 2018-19, he got just 13.6 minutes in 2019-20. Valentine averaged 6.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 0.7 steals. His three-point shooting suffered, falling to 33.6 percent. Valentine did have a good run at the end, scoring 13.0 points per game over his final five appearances. However, he's not someone to target in standard leagues next season.
July 8, 2020, 2:57 pmCoby WhitePG, Chicago Bulls
Coby White held top-140 value in 8-category leagues while ending the season with averages of 13.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
White had some dreadful shooting nights along the way but opened some eyes by scoring 33 or more points during three consecutive games in February. Despite shooting 39.4 percent from the field overall, he made over 43 percent of shot attempts in February and March. He also hit 35.4 percent of threes for the season while sinking two of them per contest. White definitely looked more like the seventh overall pick near the end of 2019-20 and the potential for more fantasy production is certainly there.
July 8, 2020, 2:46 pmWendell Carter Jr.C, Chicago Bulls
Wendell Carter Jr. produced top-110 value for owners in 8-category leagues while averaging 11.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks over the course of the season.
Carter missed 22 games with an ankle sprain. He started strong, with averages of 13.2 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks during October. While it would be unfair to term the campaign a disappointment, Carter didn’t take a major step forward from his rookie season. The rebounds and field goal percentage rose, but his blocked shots plummeted from 1.3 to 0.8 per night despite Carter receiving more playing time.
