According to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times, the Bulls are scouting veteran point guards ahead of the trade deadline, as well as those who may be cost-effective adds in free agency, to compete with Kris Dunn.
Apparently the Bulls aren't all that impressed with Dunn's work and feel that he needs to be pushed to reach the next level. Cowley mentions Darren Collison and Ricky Rubio as potential summer targets for the Bulls while also floating the idea that the team calls up Walter Lemon from the G-League to compete with Dunn. There have been inconsistencies, yes, but Dunn is returning top-70/100 value (8/9-cat) this season and is top-60/90 over the last month. With Jim Boylen calling the shots anything is possible here, and this report sheds some doubt on Dunn's dynasty stock. His performance and playing time will be worth watching closely going forward.
