According to Michael Scotto of The Athletic, the Memphis Grizzlies are gauging the trade market of the number four pick in the draft paired with Chandler Parsons.
Parsons has one of the worst contracts in the league right now and the Grizzlies would very much like to get it off of their books. Parsons is due $24 million in 2018-19 and $25 million in 2019-20. The amount of money, coupled with how little production he's given Memphis since signing there makes the contract extremely hard to trade. Without having their first round pick next year or any young, high upside players, the Grizzlies may be forced to part ways with the fourth overall pick in order to move Parsons. There are teams willing to take on contracts for more assets, but it remains to be seen if the Grizzlies are willing to let go of their pick.
