The Heat, despite their tax bill, rejected trade offers for Josh Richardson, according to Zach Lowe.
Richardson was a key piece for Miami last season and figures to be one going forward as well, bolstering their depth in the backcourt and on the wings with his 3-point shooting and superb perimeter defense. Fantasy owners can attest to his abilities, as he delivered middle-round value last season thanks to elite steals numbers, strong block totals for his position and helpful production in threes, rebounds and assists. He was a huge pickup for anyone who was lucky to own him last season, but Richardson won't be flying under the radar this time around. The Heat could get a nice haul and save themselves some financial troubles by dealing him away but to this point they seem highly reluctant to do so.
