Appearing on the radio yesterday, Milwaukee Basketball Insider Gery Woelfel said that Jabari Parker was “very, very close to being traded” at deadline while he feels there is “slim to none” chances that he is on the Bucks next season.
Woelfel is close to Jabari and the Parker family and he described the situation as a mutual fallout between the team and the player that is rooted in Kidd’s treatment of Jabari since he was drafted. The Bucks hold the cards with Jabari’s free agency as they can match any offer but losing him for nothing would be a huge blow to the team’s future. He has looked good after returning from a second ACL injury and he could be looking at a generous offer in free agency this summer while a change of scenery could boost his fantasy value.
