Kawhi Leonard reached out to LeBron James telling him that he wanted to play together, according to a source close to James that told Jordan Schultz.

The news on Leonard has been heating up lately and the Spurs are now listening to offers from the Lakers which could make this whole thing possible. The two players also talked about how Leonard's defensive ability could alleviate some pressure off of James. Brian Windhorst had mentioned that James will make his decision based on what he and his family want and not based on where other players go, but having another superstar that wants to team up with you never hurts. Leonard has expressed his interest in going to the Lakers many times now and it seems like he will sign there after 2018-19 no matter where he ends up playing. The Lakers have the ability to add a third superstar if they really wanted to either this summer or in 2019.
