James Ham of NBC Sports California is reporting that the Kings are deep into discussions on a two-year deal with free agent Nemanja Bjelica.
Bjelica, a reserve stretch four, was said to have a deal in place with the Sixers before deciding that he'd rather play in Europe for family reasons. That's apparently changed, with the Kings brass reportedly meeting with Bjelica to convey that he's too good to play overseas while selling him on Sacramento. While his skillset is a nice fit for the modern game, the Kings have a bit of a logjam — there's a lot of mouths to feed and currently no true small forwards on the roster. It's tough to project fantasy value for Bjelica in Sacramento, but there's a long way to go between now and opening night. Another transaction seems likely to follow if the Kings can get pen to paper here.
