According to Marc Berman of the NY Post, the Knicks have offered Mario Hezonja a portion of the $8.6 million midlevel exception on a one-year deal.
Hezonja wants more and is searching for something more long term, but if he decides to take the Knicks up on their offer the need for Michael Beasley would be gone. The Knicks would could run Hezonja at the SG, SF and even PF at times with all kinds of lineups. It would also add some more youth to their roster as Hezonja is only 22 years old and showed flashes during his last season with the Magic. Don't forget, he was the fifth overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft right behind Kristaps Porzingis.
