July 1, 2018, 12:09 pmIsaiah HicksF, New York Knicks
According to Ian Begley of ESPN, the Knicks have a "strong interest" in re-signing restricted free agent Isaiah Hicks.
Since he's restricted, the Knicks have the right to match any offer that is given to Hicks and it sounds like they plan to do so. Hicks played 18 games for the Knicks in his rookie season and averaged 4.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 13.2 minutes. It's highly unlikely that a team offers him something outrageous so the Knicks don't really have anything to lose with matching whatever offer he receives. With Kristaps Porzingis presumably out until after the All-Star break, the Knicks will need some front court depth that make up for all of the minutes they play Porzingis.
