Kristaps Porzingis met with Knicks management today and "expressed his concern with the losing, franchise direction and an uncertainty that a culture is developing that will enable sustainable organizational success," per Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
KP finally realized that he's on the Knicks. Woj also adds that Porzingis wants to play for a winning Knicks team but is looking for some clarity as to the team's future and his role. It's probably not coincidental that this is happening after it's been reported that the Knicks intend to make a play for Anthony Davis, with KP part of a potential trade package, though the Knicks would obviously prefer to pair those two if that's an option. It's also been rumored that the Knicks might not want to offer Porzingis a max contract in restricted free agency this summer as he may very well miss the entire season to recover from his torn left ACL. With the Knicks set to go big game hunting this summer, Porzingis doesn't want to be left on the back burner. If Porzingis does hit the trade block, expect plenty of teams to come calling.
