According to multiple reports, the Lakers and Pelicans have touched base on Anthony Davis trade talks with Brad Turner of the L.A. Times reporting that Magic Johnson proposed five different scenarios to the Pelicans — one including Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Ivica Zubac and a first-round pick.
The Lakers are now waiting to hear which offer is the most appealing to Dell Demps, who had previously not been taking calls from L.A. Turner also reports that the Lakers have no intentions of letting this play out into the summer and have informed the Pelicans that they'll simply pursue other free agents if Davis isn't on the roster. That's likely an attempt to get out in front of Boston and force the Pels into a move now, with the Celtics in New Orleans' ear about waiting until the summer so they can offer their own competitive package. If that aforementioned offer is really on the table, it's going to take quite a haul for Davis to change hands.
