The Lakers' starting point guard spot will reportedly go to the best man for the job, meaning it's up for grabs as of now according to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
The Lakers are obviously in win-now mode and Luke Walton will deploy his strongest lineup. It's hard to distinguish a favorite early on but don't be surprised if Rondo gets the nod. Keep in mind, too, Ball is recovering from a torn meniscus in his knee which could impact him early in the season. He will, however, reportedly be ready for training camp.
