LaMarcus Aldridge has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $72.3 million contract extension according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The third year has a partial guarantee which is good work by the Spurs. The extension will start in 2019-20, with Aldridge picking up his $22.3 million option for the 2018-19 season. Aldridge obviously had a down year last season but the team seems confident that he’ll be able to turn it around. Just a couple of months ago there were talks of a potential trade involving the former All-Star forward so things have taken a U-Turn fairly quickly. He should produce mid-round value this season but has the potential to produce top-30 value if utilized properly.
