LeBron James reportedly suffered a right hand injury after Game 1 when he punched a blackboard in the locker room.
Game 1, if you'll recall, is the one where George Hill missed a free throw and J.R. Smith forgot the score, wiping away Cleveland's shot at stealing home court in shocking fashion. It was frustrating, to be diplomatic about it. James has undergone two MRIs and been wearing a soft cast but prevented the public from finding out about his injury. Perhaps this explains his more "average" performances following a 51-point masterpiece. Still, James was undeniably one of the top players on the floor despite a dinged up right hand and it didn't appear to bother him much during game action. In regards to the injury, James said "Self-inflicted. Post-game, after Game 1. Very emotional… the way we played, the calls that were made, I had emotions that the game was taken away from us. Pretty much played the last three games with a broken hand."
