An ankle sprain that kept rookie guard Malik Monk sidelined throughout the offseason raises intrigue and makes him a “mystery” according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.
Monk suffered a left ankle sprain while preparing for a pre-draft workout that kept him sidelined for Summer League action. He has stated that he will be ready to go for training camp next week, so look for him to potentialy play come preseason. His youth and pedigree as an elite shooter in college make him someone to monitor, but Monk should go undrafted in standard re-draft leagues.
