• Mark Jackson
    Team, New York Knicks

Mark Jackson and Mike Woodson are expected to interview with the Knicks for their head coach vacancy tomorrow while the team is passing on Jeff Van Gundy.

Jackson is a Queens native and a former St. John’s star who had two stints with the Knicks and he will be seeking his dream job, according to Isiah Thomas. His record in his only prior head coaching gig was 121-109 in three seasons with the Warriors before getting axed for not getting along with the front office. The Knicks also plan to interview the team’s most successful coach since Jeff Van Gundy in Mike Woodson, who has a career record of 109-79 with the team before being fired by Phil Jackson after the 2013-14 season. David Fizdale, David Blatt and Jerry Stackhouse will also get a chance in the next few days.
