The Mavs have been trying to clear salary and could be gearing up for a run at free agent targets like DeMarcus Cousins, DeAndre Jordan, Julius Randle, Aaron Gordon and Clint Capela, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Eddie Sefko of the Dallas News also reported that the Mavs have made room to get in "the $25 million area that DeAndre Jordan likes." Dallas appears to be ready for another run at Jordan after the barricading fiasco that played out the last time those parties engaged, and they've already been identified as suitors for Cousins. Randle, Capela and Gordon will be much harder to pry from their current teams as RFAs but the Mavs could make it very tough for Los Angeles to match anything for Randle. Regardless, the Mavs look prepared to be big players on the open market this summer.
