Monty Williams recently left interviews with both the Lakers and the Suns without a contract, signaling that there may be another option for his services hiding in plain sight.
According to the report, if the Sixers fall short in the second round of the playoffs again, the team could consider replacing Brett Brown and Williams could very well be the guy to replace him. The Sixers rival the Warriors with arguably the most talented starting five in the league, and the team is expecting to be on a Championship level right now rather than another early defeat. There may be no fire to this smoke, but it is an interesting nugget to keep in your back pocket as we move forward in the playoffs and towards the offseason.
