Multiple Western Conference contenders have shown interest in trading for Spender Dinwiddie, according to Ian Begley of SportsNet New York.
Dinwiddie is essentially in the final year of his contract as he has a $12 million player option for next season. Knowing the eccentric guard's personality and factoring in his big counting stats in Kyrie Irving's absence, it wouldn't be surprising if he sought a pricier deal, one which the Nets may not be willing to offer. Given that dynamic it's entirely feasible the team would look to move him this season. Begley's report doesn't mention any specific teams, but when you think of Western Conference contenders in need of a point guard, you think of the Clippers and the Lakers.
